Authors After Dark Summer Camp!

The Authors After Dark event has you, the reader in mind, from the authors right down to the price. In these hard economic times, you don’t have to break the bank to attend an amazing event!

Authors After Dark is a for readers by authors event, focused on the reader author relationship. No other convention lets you get this much quality time with authors in such a unique setting. Readers and authors alike are encouraged to let their hair down and get to know each other and talk about the one thing that really brings us all together: Books!

Also, we are the only romance convention that has a GLBT track and a participating GLBT publisher. Fans of the GLBT genre that attend can look forward to M/M panels, a roundtable discussion and a F/F panel as well as a slew of print books, and goodies from GLBT authors and the publishers, including MLR Press, Dreamspinner Press, and Torquere Press.

This year’s event will slightly different from past years, as we will be forgoing the normal vendor room and workshops, to make room for author field trips and exploring one of the greatest cities in this country! Panels, parties and the book signing are all still there, but with a Cajun flair…

August 8-12, 2012 Royal Sonesta Hotel, New Orleans!

NOLA Booksigning

Kresley Cole
Garden District Book Shop

Kresley Cole continues her Immortals After Dark series. From the humblest of beginnings a millennia ago, Lothaire the Enemy of Old rose to power, becoming the most feared and evil vampire in the immortal world. Driven by his past, he will not rest until he captures the vampire Horde's crown for himself. The discovery of his Bride, the female meant only for him, threatens to derail his plot.

Kresley Cole discusses and signs her book, Lothaire.
Paul Marron, the LOTHAIRE cover model, will be accompanying Kresley to all events.

Specially created LOTHAIRE champagne flutes (plastic) will be given to the first 100 customers to attend each event and champagne will be offered.

I apologize that my photos are not the best. I found out about this book-signing last minute and didn't have my proper camera available for the event.

Great ending to a great night - during the Q&A session, I answered the last question: What is the name of the local Lore bar that many of the characters visit? ( THE SAND BAR ) and won one of the e-reader KC was gifting out during her tour. Woo-hoo!

Happy Birthday Barrons!

I LOVE LIVING IN NEW ORLEANS

Shadowfever Launch Party in NOLA!‏

SHADOWFEVER IN NEW ORLEANS!

Thought that might get your attention. It certainly gets mine. Any excuse to party in New Orleans is a good excuse in my book.

Toward that end, I’ve decided to combine several things I love: you guys, New Orleans, a four-day getaway for myself in NOLA with special events leading up to the launch, a book signing gala the night before the book goes on sale, a stay-up-all-night-long-reading Pajama Party, capped off by an intimate discussion and Q&A with me the next day about the entire series: including what’s what, what you think of what’s what, who was right, who was wrong, and how much did you see coming?

The date of the signing will be Monday (late afternoon or evening) January 17th in New Orleans, location yet to be announced (but coming very soon, like next week soon.) I’ll be in the city from Saturday the 15th through late on Tuesday the 18th. I know a lot of Maniacs are already planning to come in for the long weekend prior to, and stay through mid-week. The more the merrier!

There is no charge for the event—other than your own expenses for travel and accommodations (although you will be required to buy a book on the 17th from the hosting bookseller to attend the signing and subsequent all-night reading party, we know you have spouses and significant others, companion tickets will be available for a nominal charge.)

Check my blog mid to late next week for concrete details, including hotel, times, tentative itinerary which will continue to be fleshed out right up to the last moment with cool stuff.

Hope to see you there!

Yayy!
